About Amadaun.Net
About the Girl
Nikki Jeske was born with an intense fear of clowns and a love for all green things that grow. She is sometimes referred to as the Blackbird or Nikkabug on various places of the web. She goes by the nicknames Nikka, Nik, and the occasional Whatshername. She attends the liberal and environmental college known as Northland and is majoring in Writing with a minor in Outdoor Education. She hopes to get a job at a Nature Center working with kids, and write and illustrate children's stories in her spare time. Above all, she is a dreamer and always will be.
She also likes to talk about herself in third person. It makes her feel more important.
About the Domain
This site was created using Photoshop 7, Crimson Editor, and Notepad. All coding and design was done by Nikki Jeske. The studio is currently registered with ActiveWebHosting, a fine host with a prompt support system. If you need a place to park yourself, I reccomend them. Let them know I sent you. The site you see has been on the web in various forms since 2000, though Amadaun.net was not born until October 30th of 2002.
If you are looking for information on hosting, you'll have to look elsewhere. I did have the studio open for hosting earlier, but as of 2005, we take no new hostees. There are many places on the web where you can find suitable hosts, but I am no longer one of them. Good luck elsewhere!
The name Amadaun is the Irish word for "fool." In the fairy court of the Sidhe, the prophetic Amadaun was a court jester who could kill with just a thought, therefore making him far more powerful than the King or Queen. The name Amadaun has been with me through the years and it seems to have stuck.
The current design that is up uses photoshop brushes from Studio Brushes, my personal photoshop brush site, and patterns from Squidfingers. It uses validated CSS and HTML.
