Poetry has a way of explaining things that a short story or even a novel can't do. Poetry is an art form like none other. Just click on a title to read some of the poems found here.

Notes: More a song than a poem, it was at a time I listened to a lot of Jason Mraz. You can probably see his influence.

Title: Blackbird's Song

Notes: Heavily influenced by one of my favorite poems by Wallace Stevens, Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird. This is my own take on it.

Title: Riddle Tea
Rating: G
Notes: A many part poem that I have hopes for one day illustrating and turning into a children's book. Lewis Carroll inspired.

Title: Oh Dream a Dream of Dying Light
Rating: PG
Notes: A Villanelle in form. I was trying out different forms, and this one turned out better than I thought it would.

Title: Lunar Eclipse
Rating: PG
Notes: Short, but I feel it gets to the point with its imagery.

Title: Drowning

Notes: An attempt in some powerful imagery with one of my favorite subjects: the sea.

Notes: The oldest piece I could find - at a time when I couldn't figure out what mattered in life, I found meaning in poetry.
