Just to make things a bit more fun this year, the Bucks took to Instagram to troll the NBA ‘s super-teams by posting a “shade” on the concept of super-teams, adding that they were not interested in cashing in on the current era of super teams.
NBA MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo’s new Instagram account is attracting a lot of attention for its timing—the Bucks’ up-and-comer has spent the past few seasons playing alongside some of the NBA’s best players. Although he’s played alongside some of the league’s top players, like Joel Embiid, Khris Middleton, and Eric Bledsoe, Antetokounmpo has always kept his own Instagram account private. Now, Antetokounmpo is sharing some of his opinions on his new teammates.

Antetokounmpo, Giannis of the Milwaukee Bucks has had the last laugh. Many questioned his choice to accept the biggest deal in NBA history in December 2024. However, Antetokounmpo and the Bucks seem to have made the greatest choice of their lives with their five-year, $228 million supermax contract.
Critics questioned why Antetokounmpo would remain in Milwaukee, and if his choice would cost him a chance to win a championship. That argument will be finished in less than a year. Antetokounmpo won the NBA championship (and was named Finals MVP) with the club that drafted him with the 15th overall selection in 2013.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been enjoying the high life, which is fitting for Milwaukee, with his title in hand and a big ring on the way.

During the draft for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, Giannis Antetokounmpo made a joke that sparked a rivalry between the Milwaukee Bucks star and James Harden, who was with the Houston Rockets at the time.
When Antetokounmpo chose then-Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker over Harden in the draft, he made headlines. The Milwaukee star quipped that he was looking for “someone who can pass the ball.”
That didn’t sit well with Harden, a former NBA assist champion who was sixth in the league with 7.5 assists per game in 2019–20. Walker’s 4.8 assists per game did not place him in the top 20.
“I’m not sure what the joke is about. But I didn’t notice it. That kind of thing doesn’t bother me. I simply know they’re not going to be able to tamper with me.
“After all is said and done, they’ll enjoy it even more. But I wish I could simply sprint and dunk as if I were seven feet tall. That does not require any expertise. I need to get serious about learning how to play basketball. What it takes to be skilled. That’ll do it for me any day.”
James Harden
Not only did Antetokounmpo win a championship before Harden, who was moved to the Brooklyn Nets in January to join Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Milwaukee also eliminated Brooklyn from the playoffs in the Eastern Conference semifinals, giving Antetokounmpo his first ring. For that burn, Harden may need more aloe.
Antetokounmpo has made a statement regarding super teams.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was adamant about the more harder path to a championship being a huge reward after the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
“I might be a member of a great squad… But this is the difficult route to take, and we took it. It was a f*cking f*cking f*cking f*cking

It’s not unheard of for a franchise-level player to win a championship with the club that selected him, even in the chaotic world of NBA free agency. We’re just three years away from Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors winning three titles in four years. With the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade won three rings.
Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, kept the flames blazing with his barbs at the super teams. The Finals MVP used a more subtle approach in a recent Instagram story. Antetokounmpo posted pictures of Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Kobe Bryant with the caption “Mood.” With the teams that selected them, Wade and Olajuwon won titles. Both Nowitzki and Bryant were acquired in draft-night deals by the only clubs they ever played for.
With that, Antetokounmpo brought the tale to a conclusion.
“Let’s have a fantastic offseason… WORK.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been chastised for not having a reliable 3-point shooting, being a terrible free-throw shooter, and not being a traditional space-and-pace big man throughout most of his eight-year NBA career.
It didn’t matter in the end. In Game 6, Antetokounmpo not only blasted his way down the lane for 50 points, but he also discovered the magic touch at the foul line. He made 17 of 19 shots, defying Suns point guard Chris Paul is a musician from the United States.’s criticism. Paul bemoaned a missed rebound after Antetokounmpo’s especially brick-like free-throw miss after the Bucks won Game 5 in Phoenix.
“Everyone, including himself, is expecting him to miss.”

Poking the bear (or deer) has repercussions, as Paul would discover in Game 6. That Antetokounmpo went out the day after Game 6 to get 50 Chick-Fil-A mac-minis while live-streaming on Instagram.
